Current situation

THE MUSEUM is looking for a way to contribute their efforts towards climate change. Their idea is for the kids to complete tasks/missions that were positive for climate change, and make it an interactive fun game of sorts.

Goal

Kids to be interacting with the solution that results in an action on climate change with Youth Council at THE MUSEUM.

Users

13-17 year old high school students who meet monthly at THE MUSEUM.

Potential Deliverables

Perhaps a website or online platform where people could log on and complete missions/tasks, upload photos and track their points and progress.

Other Notes

  • This project is tied to the upcoming exhibition at THE MUSEUM called ALARM which will be open from January-June 2020.

Final Executive Summary

Proposed solutions:
  1. New Media Installation
    • A video loop is projected onto a 2D surface showing a video animation of the underlying word-cloud (viewing wall)
    • In the video, the word-cloud is always present with the associated symbols showing over top of each of their own section of the word-cloud
    • A video animation could highlight one symbol at a time as its related video is shown over top of the visualization
  2. Interactive Media Installation

    • In the video, the word-cloud is always present with the associated symbols showing over top of each of their own section of the word-cloud
